about

Edward Mordake is claimed to be a 19th century heir to one of the peerages in England who had an extra face on the back of his head. According to the story, the extra face could neither eat nor speak, but it could laugh and cry.

Edward begged doctors to have his 'devil twin' removed, because, supposedly, it whispered horrible things to him at night, but no doctor would attempt it. He committed suicide at the age of 23.

Guest vocals by Maude Théberge from Sanguine Glacialis

lyrics

Push
Breathe

Her water breaks
This woman with child
She screams in pain
it tears her inside
Clawing at her sides
It wants to rip her belly wide

She feels him kick
The pain takes control
She leans back once more

She feels it rip
A pink and red gape
His ivory gate

She feels his grip
My bowels, they burn
She can see it churn

She sees the screens
Guess I should have known
Her frailty it shows

She fears he’s near the Grim Reaper walks the halls of this hospital!

She takes a breath and holds it
Strive to force out the child
The pain is much too vivid!
Her vulva is now open wide

The blood in pools is flowing
Her color pale as Moon
His eyes all four are showing
Her pulse will extinguish quite soon

The doctors could do naught but stare
One head yet two faces it bears!

The doctors could do naught but stare
One head yet two faces it bears!

It was her demise
To think she could give birth to child
Gestation of the planted seed
Grown grotesque indeed

Her demise
Give birth to child
Planted seed
Grotesque indeed

about

Hollow Montréal, Québec

One notable feature is the band’s make-up which is applied before every show using the airbrush by a Montreal’s artist Bob Skelton. The music combines symphonic and orchestral elements to heavy riffs, progressive structures and a black metal atmosphere. Highly energetic performances that give out a very theatrical vibe, HOLLOW are a band made for the stage. ... more
